Italiani di Frontiera (Frontier Italians) is a storytelling trip about the secrets of Italian talent and also examines some of the obstacles impeding Italian innovators in their own country.
Italiani di Frontiera today is on the Internet with a web site, a video channel on YouTube, and social networks on Facebook and LinkedIn. It connects Italian managers abroad and many students and young entrepreneurs all over the country.
Italiani di Frontiera tours Italy with live multimedia conferences and training seminars for managers. Coming soon: a book, a web tv and a theatrical performance, sponsored by Cisco Italy, with an English version for international audiences.
Born in Mestre Venice, after a career as a reporter in daily newspapers in Venice and Milan, I joined Reuters Italy until May 2011, covering current affairs, culture and innovation. My stories for the international news agency have been published in The Guardian, The Independent, Washington Post and New York Times.
In 2008 I launched this personal, independent multimedia project through the web, spending six month with my family in Palo Alto California, where I interviewed many Italian entrepreneurs and scientists and other prominent figures in Silicon Valley.
Las summer I leaded first Italiani di Frontiera Silicon Valley Tour, a full week with 20 Italian entrepreneurs and managers, meeting outstanding Italian scientists, entreprenerus and managers in the Bay Area, from Stanford to Berkeley, from Google to IBM and Cisco. In 2012 we are planning at least two new Silicon Valley Tours.
Last August I also launched a new blog in English on Forbes platform, Out Of The Box.
Here a 2008 interview on Business Association Italy America blog, about Italiani di Frontiera, during my months in California.
Here is my profile at Digital Economy Forum, hosted in Venice last summer by US Embassy, where I was among the speakers.
You can find more English contents in video interviews for Italiani di Frontiera, with Peter Brantley, Donald Norman and Jay Elliot.
